“The Greatest Glory in Living…” — Nelson Mandela
I’ve been through some tough times.
A few years ago, I was caught in the grips of a brutal economic crisis. Jobs were scarce, and competition was fierce. I’d send out application after application, but every response seemed to be a rejection.
It felt like I was perpetually falling, and I couldn’t see the end of the downward spiral.
I’m sure many of you can relate. It’s a tough place to be.
During those moments when I was teetering on the brink of giving up, I came across a quote from Nelson Mandela that struck a chord deep within me. He said,
“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”
Those words hit me like a bolt of lightning.
It reminded me of my family and the responsibilities I had towards them. There was a deep-seated desire within me to provide for them, to give them a life filled with opportunities and happiness. I couldn’t bear the thought of letting them down.
